Michael Happe

Mike Happe is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at SFM Mutual Insurance Company, where he has worked since 2005. In this role, he leads marketing and distribution strategy and also serves as President of SFM Risk Solutions. He is active in the workers’ compensation and insurance community, serving on the board of the National Workers’ Compensation Reinsurance Association and as Secretary-Treasurer of the Insurance Federation of Minnesota, and has previously held leadership roles with the CPCU Society, SFM Foundation, Global Insurance Accelerator, and Minnesota Homeownership Center, as well as serving on the Minnetonka City Council. Happe holds bachelor’s and MBA degrees in business from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, has also studied business and German at the University of Vienna, and maintains the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
