As I write to our members today, I’m reflecting on the upcoming summer season in Minnesota. As we all know, Minnesotan’s live to take advantage of the sparse days during this time when we can take full advantage of the warmer weather to enjoy the outdoors. My hope is that many of you will be doing so in the upcoming months!

Some agencies may also be taking time this summer to think about hiring or have recently hired and are looking for training opportunities. We continue to hear from our members who need this assistance as they prepare for transitions from retirees to recently hired talent. Big I MN is here to help! We are ecstatic to announce the upcoming training that will meet these needs within busy agencies that don’t always have the time or resources to provide programming for their newer employees.

Utilizing a tried and tested program that has grown and evolved, we are rolling out InsurAcademy to our members officially on June 15th. This subscription program provides customization to meet the many faces of our agency members. There are over 90 different modules to choose from when planning the training path for your new hires. No matter the position, you are able to make the learning experience valuable and focused. In addition to the basics, there are live monthly webinars on technical and professional skills training. One of the most valuable features is having a mentor available for each of your employees to have access to for any additional questions they may have about their studies, professionalism, or the industry as a whole.

As busy managers navigate through the hiring and training process, InsurAcademy can be the tool that assists them to customize, have access to reports on progress, and utilize the Wonderlic Select for candidate/staff assessments on cognitive assessment, personality, and motivation to utilize during hiring or training.

Big I MN thrives to continue to provide the value you expect from your membership with this additional service. You can take a sneak peek into some of the details here. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Rau at arau@bigimn.org.
