Key Highlights

Advocacy and Election Engagement:

Big I Minnesota is putting a spotlight on how much the upcoming state elections could shape the insurance industry. With every Minnesota House and Senate seat on the ballot—and many seasoned legislative leaders retiring—now is the time to stay engaged. The association encouraged members to support advocacy efforts through MIIA PAC and InsurPac, reinforced the value of maintaining strong relationships with policymakers, and invited you to join the PAC fundraising event at Smashpark on September 24.

Consumer Awareness Campaign Continues:

Big I Minnesota remains focused on educating consumers about the value of independent insurance agents. The association shared a recent article published in the Duluth News Tribune that highlights the importance of insurance protection and trusted local agents following severe summer weather events across Minnesota.

Independent Agent Storytelling Initiative:

As part of its public relations efforts, Big I Minnesota is expanding its video campaign and encouraging members to submit day-in-the-life content, client testimonials, success stories, and agency culture highlights. These videos will help demonstrate the value and impact of independent agents throughout the state.
