A New Year of Opportunity for Big I Minnesota
Greetings, Big I Minnesota Members,
As we kick off a new fiscal year, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support of Big I Minnesota. Because of you, we are able to strengthen and advance the independent agency system across our state while providing valuable resources, advocacy, and opportunities that help your agencies thrive.
Looking back on the past year, I am proud of the progress we've made together. Guided by your feedback, we have expanded and enhanced member benefits designed to meet the evolving needs of independent agencies and their teams.
One of our most exciting accomplishments has been the continued growth of InsurAcademy, providing critical training and professional development for new hires through a flexible and customizable learning experience. We also answered a long-standing member request by partnering with Kaplan to offer in-person Property & Casualty pre-licensing classes, making it easier than ever to develop the next generation of insurance professionals.
We're also investing in ways to help you promote your agency and the value you bring to your local communities. Through our partnership with a public relations firm, members now have access to marketing tools and professionally produced videos that can be used on social media, websites, and other outreach efforts. This initiative continues to grow, and we encourage you to share your agency success stories so we can build an even stronger library of resources for all members.
Advocating for independent agents remains at the heart of everything we do. We are actively working to increase public awareness about the unique value independent agents provide by educating consumers on insurance topics and encouraging them to seek trusted guidance when making important coverage decisions. At the same time, we continue to engage with legislators and policymakers, helping them understand the critical role independent agents play in serving and protecting communities across Minnesota.
With election season underway, we look forward to building relationships with newly elected officials and ensuring they understand the positive impact independent agents have on the constituents they represent. Your voice, expertise, and local presence help make these advocacy efforts meaningful and effective.
There has never been a better time to deepen your involvement with Big I Minnesota. Whether through our Education Committee, Legislative Committee, or Emerging Leaders Committee for professionals under 40, there are countless ways to connect, influence the future of our industry, and maximize the value of your membership.
