Given the turmoil of the past year and how closely the Legislature is divided, the 2026 Legislature accomplished more than many of us originally anticipated. Legislators ultimately agreed on government anti-fraud measures, limited property tax relief, funding HCMC, a $1.2 billion bonding bill and even a tab fee reduction.
