Everyone at the Big I MN state office are in full EXPO prep mode, working to bring you a valuable and enjoyable experience on April 4th at Mystic Lake Event Center. I am particularly excited to bring you a Hard-Market Panel Discussion where you can hear insights into what some of your carrier partners are working on to navigate through these challenging times and still provide the agents tools and coverages for their clients. Keep an eye on our communications to find out who is participating.
We will also be providing attendees with an update on happenings at the Big I MN that morning for our Annual Meeting and Update breakfast. Hear from our current President, Jay Nesbit, Nesbit Agencies, and our incoming President, Jake Olinger, Christensen Group, during this session.
With the continued technological advances and increased use of AI, join us for a session to discuss how you can utilize it to your advantage, while remaining cognizant of the potential pitfalls it could bring. Join Tom Wetzel for this informative session.
Our Annual Big I MN Awards Luncheon will have an inspiring speaker, Lance Allred, join us to share his experience with adversity utilizing Five Principles of Perseverance to obtain the unobtainable. We will also honor our annual award winners at this luncheon as well as recognize Kevin Steiner, CEO at West Bend, for his accomplishments, especially here in MN.
The day will conclude with our EXPO and reception where you can connect with new and old friends throughout the independent insurance industry.
On another note, we continue to work hard for you by making connections and influencing legislation in the upcoming session with meetings with representatives who understand our issues. Some of our board members recently met with House Commerce Chair, Zach Stephenson, to discuss legislation to improve the environment for consumers and the industry when Storm Chasers invade the state. Here is where your support of our PAC’s matter. Donations to MIIA PAC and InsurPac go towards influence with key legislators such as the House Commerce Chair. Session begins mid-February so consider donating now.
As always, thank you for reading and for the support in working on your behalf at Big I Minnesota!
